All the companies have a certain criteria respectively according to which they hire & fire candidates. Candidates when apply for a job should abide by that criterion in order to fit at his or her best in that certain company. Following are some of the pointers that will give you a close picture of what actually companies want and look for in the candidates for their respective jobs.

Productivity:
The most important point focused by the companies is productivity. Nowadays, companies do not mainly focus on loyalty and sincerity but instead their main and the foremost focus is on the productivity of the company. More productive you are, more are the chances for you to get hired and survive in that particular company.

Adaptability:
The another most important factor, because companies do go for changes according to the prevailing situation but you should know how to make yourself adaptable with the arising development and changes in the technology on an individual basis as well as from the organizational point of view. Hence you should have the capacity to mould yourself according to the prevailing situation arising in the company.

Walk away from the crowd:
You should always walk away from the crowd, that is prove that you are unique and a 1000 times better than the others. Show that you can make a difference for the organization, so that you can be recognized. If you walk with the crowd you will never be recognized and will never be able to prove your worth for that company.

Self leadership:
This is again a very important factor. Another good quality observed by the companies is self-leadership. The person should be capable enough to lead and solve the problems arising in the company himself, plus he should be a good decision maker and must be able to handle the situation by himself, that is he should have the self- leadership qualities in himself.

Boss is always right:
In an organization employers abide by the standard rule that the "Boss is always right". Employers don't want excuses; instead they want the work to be done on time and without any excuses and the way they want.

A person should have the capability to manage the things according to a complete plan of action. The sequence of work should follow according to that plan, which is according to a particular system. Thus the person who works according to a plan is always successful and always in the good books of the organization. The person who pre-plans his actions before hand is always successful in his life as well as in the organization.

Ability to deal:
In an organization you have to move and work with the people, so you must know how to deal with them, because everybody doesn't have that quality. Ability to deal with people is a very imperative factor that companies observe in you. You should know how to deal with the clients and how to tackle them, you should have the ability to observe their and weak and strong points and on the basis of them you should know how to deal them.

Business ethics:
Business ethics is again a very important factor for the companies. So you must know the business ethics, principles and morals that the company demands. Business ethics is a very sensitive issue which is very much emphasized in all the organizations and one should realize its importance at its fullest.

Professional studies:
Now a day's companies don't go for GPAs and gold medals but instead they go for your capabilities and abilities because GPAs and gold medals alone don't prove you. So don't focus on your GPA and the no. of gold medals you have acquired but instead try to develop in yourself those abilities and capabilities which the companies look into you.

Knowledge:
You should have complete command over the subjects you r specialized in, that is you should have complete in depth knowledge of your subjects because "knowledge is Power." Application of knowledge that you have is intelligence.
